Our process
1. Understanding The Journey Ahead
The length of time it takes to build a home depends on the scope of the project. Certain aspects, such as sloping blocks or the need to engage your Local Council, may make a project take longer than more straightforward builds that are on a flat block or can be built via a CDC pathway. However, our builders aim to complete your new home in 9 to 15 months from taking possession of your site.
2. Site Assessment
We want to make sure your plan works with your land, not against it. To do this we will undertake a comprehensive site visit of your home to gain an understanding of your individual site conditions. Additionally, we will also begin organising a contour survey and bore hole report (soil testing) so anything our eyes can’t see are not missed.
3. Design Wishlist
Bring your ideas, Pinterest boards, or even your hand-drawn sketches. We want to see it all! We’ll pore over these and work with you to list the must-haves and nice-to-haves for your new home.
4. Concept Plan Refinement
We’ll draw up the first draft of your custom concept plan and catch up with you to review and make any changes. The aim is to have the design as close as possible to the final draft before we start the estimating process.
5. Reliable Estimates Delivered
Once the design is right, we will be in touch to sit down and provide a thorough review of your Tender noting any provisional allowances that may be required due to unforeseen circumstances. We pride ourselves on our transparency to ensure not only built trust with our Clients but ensure there are no hidden surprises once we get underway.

Will I be able to make design changes during the process?
Yes, as our process is collaborative. We welcome feedback and your ideas at each stage, and work with you to refine the design until it’s just right.
How long does it take to build a custom home?
Each build is unique, so there’s no one cut-and-dry timeline for every project. Most builds take between eight and 18 months, but this varies depending on multiple factors. Once we have an understanding of your plans, we’ll give you a tailored timeline for building your new home.
What if I have a sloping block or one with an irregular shape?
No problem at all! We pride ourselves on our flexibility and overcoming obstacles like these. We’re used to working with tricky blocks and actually enjoy the challenge. We adapt every design to the land it will be built on, and we’ll arrange a detailed survey early on to ensure we can work with your site.
